Why Prolieve

	Prolieve Thermodilation

	This system is currently the most popular MIT at the prostate center. WE view this as a true alternative to medical therapy. It has certain advantages over the other types of heat therapies and is better tolerated than older generation microwave therapy.

	These are the benefits of the Prolieve system:

		Best tolerated MIT
		The prolieve system is better tolerated by the patient than the Indigo laser, TUNA or older microwaves. The secret is a lower power energy given over a longer period of time. In addition, treatment is given via a catheter, not a metal scope.

		No need for catheter
		The vast majority of patients are sent home without a catheter

		Uniform heating of tissue
		Microwave technology may cause a more uniform destruction of prostate tissue.
